Yep, that's right!
And this time around we're allowing written entries! Remember to give all the rules a good read before doing, well, anything! :P Feel free to ask questions after you've read everything.

:pointr:OPTION #1: Illustrate your favorite scene in Reboot (so far)! :pointl:
:bulletblue: What’s the one event in Reboot that’s your favorite thus far? Pull out those drawin’ tools and show it to us!
:bulletblue: The only scenes you can’t do: Sex scenes, evolution scenes. And by evolution scenes I mean the sequence itself (we have videos for that! :P). If someone’s first time evolution was your favorite scene, that’s totally fine, the important stuff happens before and after the sequence. If there’s already a screen shot for your scene of choice, try to avoid copying the screen shot.
:bulletblue: When you post it, let us know which scene it is, and in what episode (more for other people’s benefit than ours :) )
:bulletblue: Picture entries will be judged on: Creativity, Interaction, and Completion
:bulletblue: Creativity: Posing, overall interesting-ness, whether the mood fits the scene in question, and so on.
:bulletblue: Interaction: If there are multiple characters, make it interesting rather than just having them stand around idly. If the scene had just one character, include some emotion or prop interaction to help suggest what is going through their head.
:bulletblue: Completion: Colors, backgrounds… A vague suggestion of a background is better than blank whiteness, it need not be anything crazy detailed, just something.

:pointr:OPTION #2: Write a scene inspired by one of the Reboot CD covers!:pointl:
:bulletpink: Take a look at either of the OST covers, and the solo covers. Each of them could tell a story. Think about the situation they’re in (like on the OSTs), or the body language and mood of the solo albums.
:bulletpink: You’re not limited to using the pair that corresponds to their solo cover, the other characters can be included of course.
:bulletpink: Try to write at least a drabble's length (1,000+ words). Think about the time/effort it takes to draw a picture and put that into your writing.
:bulletpink: Written entries will be judged on: Creativity, Characterization, and Spelling/Grammar
:bulletpink: Creativity: How interesting the scene is, clever interpretation of body language/situation, and so on.
:bulletpink: Characterization: Is everyone in character? Even if your scene does not have much dialogue (or the opposite), just their actions or words should be accurate to who they are.
:bulletpink: Spelling/Grammar: This is a given. It doesn’t take much to run things through a spell checker, or have someone read it over for you. Entries written in “script format” will not be accepted, sorry.

:pointr:OVERALL RULES:pointl:
:bulletgreen: Keep it PG-13. No extreme nudity/sexual themes. Basically, if you’re not allowed to post it on DeviantART, it’s too much. Suggestive themes and implied content are fine.
:bulletgreen: No tracing or stealing! Pieces have to be your own, original work. No copying off of other artists - this results in automatic disqualification.
:bulletgreen: New art only. Sorry, but to be fair to everyone, your entry has to be something new that’s created for the contest.
:bulletgreen: Multiple entries are allowed, however only one can place. The highest ranked of your entries will be the one to place. For example, if you won first and third, your first place entry would keep its rank, and the third place entry would be automatically disqualified from the rankings. This keeps it fair for everyone.

:pointr:NOTES:pointl:
:bulletyellow: Entries will be scored individually, based on the criteria mentioned above. They will not be compared to other entries aside from their numerical score value.
:bulletyellow: If you have any concerns about character accuracy (such as what outfits were used in what episode, more personality details, and so on), just drop us a line and ask.
:bulletyellow: We will not ‘pre judge’ entries. This means you cannot send us a work in progress and ask “Does this look okay?”, “Am I writing everyone properly?”, and so on. If asking about their personalities, sending something like “What would this char do if…” will not yield you an answer. We’re not going to write your story for you :P
:bulletyellow: Feel free to change already-posted entries as many times as you like up until the deadline.

:pointr:DEADLINE:pointl:
:bulletpurple: SATURDAY, JANUARY 7,  2012
:bulletpurple: Deadline subject to be pushed back, if we feel the contest needs more time. It has already been pushed back from December 3rd, to co-inside with us having to push back our return date.

:pointr:PRIZES:pointl:
:bulletorange: FIRST PLACE: Character cameo in a future Digimon Reboot Intermission episode. As we had some difficulty fitting a new character into the plot itself last time, this time it has to be an intermission episode. Don’t worry, it won’t be a cheesy holiday special ;). Cameo includes profile art by xuza for your Tamer, Baby-Rookie Digimon, and the higher evolution that ends up showing up in the intermission episode, as well as at least one screen shot. You’ll also receive a written drabble (Length Example) from bluster-squall on a topic of your choice, provided it’s Digimon-related. Also, a poster print of your choice (we intend to have more options by the deadline).

:bulletorange: SECOND PLACE: A dynamic (not still, generally with some kind of interaction), colour picture of your Tamer character and their Champion-level Digimon by xuza. An illustration of your Rookie Digimon by tomgiest (Example). You’ll also receive a written drabble (Length Example) from bluster-squall on a topic of your choice, provided it’s Digimon-related. Also, a poster print of your choice (we intend to have more options by the deadline).

:bulletorange: THIRD PLACE: A dynamic (not still, generally with some kind of interaction), colour picture of your Tamer character and their Rookie-level Digimon by xuza.  You’ll also receive a written drabble (Length Example) from bluster-squall on a topic of your choice, provided it’s Digimon-related. Also, a poster print of your choice (we intend to have more options by the deadline).

:bulletorange: Possibly more prizes to be announced!

:pointr:HOW TO ENTER:pointl:
